32nd Annual Summer Day Camp:
July 2 - August 10

On Monday, July 2, 2012, the Patrician Society will re-open its camp for our 32nd consecutive year serving children ages 5-11. The Summer Day Camp provides various adult-supervised activities in six one-week sessions. We add this program to our regular schedule as we continue to serve families and individuals who utilize our year-round Emergency Food Center.

The children who attend our camp are, for the most part, members of low-income families who are served in our Emergency Food Center. For obvious financial reasons, we must keep camp as low-cost as possible for the families while we maintain a quality program. We charge $30 per child for a one-week session. (Although we operate on a "shoe-string" budget, our own expenses are approximately $100 per camper requiring an additional subsidy of $70 for each child.) We provide activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, lunch, field trips (including transportation to field trip sites) and complete supervision by a 4-person professional staff. We enroll 240 children (40 boys and girls in each of 6 one-week sessions).
